Ugh! Why Don’t My Songs Sound Better?

TRUE or FALSE: There is nothing more frustrating than writing and recording a great song that you believe is a hit but in reality doesn’t sound good (and you have no idea why)??

I also was an artist once and I will go with “TRUE”!

You know…Over the years I have discovered the 1 common issue most artists have with their music and it’s an easy fix…

So…You pay a studio to do a job and you expect that means they are going to do it right…right?

Unfortunately even these so-called “professional” producers/engineers that you are hiring have no real world experience in making radio quality hit songs. They go out and buy music production software, start learning (on your dime & time) and turn out an amateur sounding project (yours & countless others) to make a quick buck. Make any sense yet?

Listen, It’s the ear, not the gear!

Just because an engineer has a copy of the latest Logic Pro X or Pro Tools software, doesn’t mean you’re going to automatically get a great production or mix & master of your song. You need to work exclusively with someone who has a great track record and the credits to back up their work. Chances are they will know what they are doing and will be able to bring out the best in your music. If your songs don’t move your listener emotionally then you will lose their attention and in turn lose a potential fan. More fans equals more sales of your songs. You want to make money right?

Do you only clean one side of your face?

Then don’t do a half-assed project!

Check this out…You have spent GOOD money thus far on the beats (hopefully from MaxxBeats of course;), studio time, musicians, engineers, vocalists and songwriters and maybe even travel but you MUST have the final mixing and mastering up to par if you want to compete. You cannot even consider promotion until you get your songs sounding like smash hits, and that’s what I am here for.
